I checked out the 70-200 2.8, which turned out to be a total bust. First off the auto focus wasn’t working correctly so I took all these in manual, which I do prefer more ,but not when it comes to a sport. So, to combat this I just focused on a certain base or area of the diamond to capture the action. As a result I didn’t capture as much as I would have liked. Secondly, the focal length wasn’t long enough, I was wishing the whole time that I had more magnification. Theres a game saturday that I plan on going to and this time I’ll definately bring the 300 mm. Did some minor touch ups in lightroom, mostly just cropped them down though. Update- I went to a second game over the weekend and used the 300mm tamron, auto focus worked but wasn’t as fast as I thought it would be. Overall, got more action shots.
